Hey There!

Hi there! I'm Jettie Boirum, a Carnegie Mellon alumna who absolutely loves learning.... well I loved it so much that I went on to get my Master's in Elementary and Middle-Level Education from Seton Hill University.

Drawing on experience as a school teacher (and later a stay-at-home mom), I've used my expertise to create products for children and their caregivers.

Since I was a little girl, I always dreamed of becoming a teacher. I used to ‘hold class’ in my childhood bedroom, use my closet door as a pretend chalkboard, and line stuffed animals along the floor to prep for class. Sometimes I even had my mom pretend to be a student. Well, until she started disrupting the class, and I had to send a note home to her mother (my Grandma Jettie) about her daughter’s behavior.

Yeah, I was that kid.

As I got older, however, I lost myself to other potential career paths, but they never really resonated with me. So, after a sucessful stint in the corporate world, I followed my heart and went into teaching. Honestly, that was all it took for me to understand that education was my path in life. So, here I am.

To help children beyond my own community, I’m turning key components of my curriculum into children's books and resources! I also create creative content for caregivers because we need to support each other too! It is my hope is to spark a lifelong interest in reading, learning and growing.

I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with my loving husband and amazing son, who appears in my first book. Oh, and of course my furbabies Luna and Chai — yes, they’re real!

To every learner out there (big and little), keep learning and growing. Thank you for being here!

Meet Chai

Chai is a brave little fella who LOVES berries. He is incredibly friendly and regularly demands head scratches. He can get pretty bossy about it too! Thanks Chai for all you inspire.

Meet Luna

Oh my sweet little Luna is such a gentle pup. She is lovey with everyone she meets however she can be a little timid with new environments and is wary of some inanimate objects like cardboard. Chai and my son Richter are slowly helping her conquer those fears though!
